Pavithra Rajesh (she/her) is a graduate student in the Media Innovation and Data Communication program at Northeastern University. She has previously held internships at Bloomberg Industry Group, Detroit Free Press and The Christian Science Monitor.

Kelly Chan

Kelly Chan specializes in feature writing, digital marketing, photography and multimedia storytelling. She is a recent graduate of Northeastern University and is now pursuing a M.S. in Media Innovation and Data Communication there as well.

Dan Zedek

Dan Zedek

Faculty Advisor

Dan Zedek is a Professor of the Practice at the Northeastern University School of Journalism where he leads the Media Innovation Studio. The former design director of The Boston Globe, he runs a design and content strategy studio.

April Qian

April Qian

April Qian is a graduate student studying Information Design and Data Visualization at Northeastern. She has written and produced content for Vermont Public Radio and her local college paper, the Middlebury Campus. She is interested in the role of data in providing narrative context and highlighting marginalized voices both in journalism and in media at large. In her free time, she enjoys binge-listening to podcasts, distance running, and peppering her cat with kisses.

Isabel Meyers

Isabel Meyers

Isa Meyers (she/her) is a graduate student in Northeastern’s Professional Journalism program. She holds a dual B.A. in English and Feminist, Gender and Sexuality Studies from Cornell University. Isa is from Seattle, Washington, and is a member of Northeastern’s varsity cross country and track teams. She is currently a reporting intern at The Christian Science Monitor.

Heather (Zeyu) Wang

Heather (Zeyu) Wang

Heather Wang is a journalist who can code and calculate balance sheets. She graduated from the University of Missouri with a journalism degree, focusing on broadcasting. Before she joined Storybench, she worked for a mid-Missouri TV station as a reporter and spent her entire summer in DC doing marketing communication.
