“We’re still at the beginning” – Politico’s Dan Diamond on podcasting
While 2009 might not seem like too long ago, for the podcasting industry it might as well have been prehistoric times. Although the infrastructure was nearly nonexistent and it was near impossible to make money off podcasting, it’s precisely when Dan Diamond created the “Weekly Briefing” while working for The Advisory Board Company, a best practices firm that advises a multitude of different health care organizations and educational institutions. Diamond joins the Testing Ground Podcast – a project of Northeastern University’s School of Journalism – to discuss the rise of podcasting for news, some of the challenges associated with audio storytelling and the future of the industry.
